I’ve been spending more time exploring Brazilian music recently, as I’ve been looking to expand the bajo y clave project into more realms of Latin Jazz. It seems like somewhere along the line, a very famous composer wrote a samba with just one note, so I’ve been giving it a try. The big lesson that I’ve learned from this study is that it’s really hard to write a samba with just one note. I may not be as brilliant as that composer; it looks like I actually need a lot of notes to write a samba. So this little jam in a piece I call “Samba Of Many Notes” – enjoy!
