Hello Music Makers!

My name is Chip Boaz and I’ve dedicated the better part of my life to making music on the low end of the sound spectrum. As a bassist, I’ve performed extensively, spending a lot of time playing Latin Jazz, straight-ahead jazz, salsa, and more. I’ve had formal training in jazz performance and Ethnomusicology at San Jose State University and Wesleyan University. I’ve worked as a music advocate across several genres, supporting the advancement of music through my sites The Latin Jazz Corner and iOS Music And You. These days, I’m playing electric bass, acoustic bass, and U-Bass as a solo artist, covering both original music and classic songs.
